“Sanctuary (Untitled) 2”

These landscapes are lone quiet spaces, devoid of human life, chosen for their ethereal energy and emotive content. Pictures of barren trees have been a part of my imagery since I began to put pen to paper as a child. Now, rather than create them from my imagination, I find these scenes in nature and photograph them as obsessively as I once drew them. A combination of Polaroid Positive/Negative B&W Film, natural soft light and desolate surroundings create a collection of dreamy, dark, and deeply personal photographs.
